Maybe for some users, a nanometer chipset is not a big deal when considering buying a new smartphone. But for technical geeks, it has equivalent importance to memory and battery capacity. Huawei recently announced that the Nova 5 will have a 7nm chipset, this is confirmed by He Gang, head of Huawei’s smartphone division. The chipset is the new Kirin 810 that will have an eight-core CPU, ARM Cortex-A76 custom large core, and a Mali-G52 GPU.
Other specs included are:
- 6.39-inch AMOLED FHD+ screen
- Punch hole for the 32MP selfie cam
- Rear quad camera setup with a 48MP as main sensor
- 4,200 mAh battery with 40W fast charging capability
It will also have new interesting colors in the line-up, Green and Orange. The Android version is not yet confirmed but we’re hoping it will run with the latest Android Pie.
