A good camera is becoming a staple feature nowadays on a smartphone, but it is a different story when it comes to a flagship model. Vivo, one of the aggressive Chinese brands, will be releasing a flagship model to target video and photography enthusiast consumers. But before we go into detail about the camera features, let’s check first other specs that make this phone stand out.
Body and Design
The phone looks sophisticatedly premium; it has a curved display with a thin bezel. The frame is made of a slim metallic design, making it more premium and sleek. Also, it has a curved display and a curved rear glass panel.
Screen

Chipset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G that can support a 5G network with a peak download of 3.7Gpbs and a peak upload speed of 1.6Gpbs. It is Octa-core, with one 2.4 GHz Kryo 475 Prime, a 2.2 GHz Kryo 475 Gold, and six 1.8 GHz Kryo 475 Silver to complete it all.
Memory
Still not confirmed, but the PH market version of Vivo X50 Pro will be 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in internal storage. Expandable storage will not be an option based on our source, but if you have 256GB already, who needs extra storage.

Now… The Camera
The rear camera is arranged on a Quad-cam setup; the highlight is the Gimbal stabilization system for the 48MP primary camera. As advertised, it will somehow reduce shakiness when taking a shot or shooting a video; the primary camera sensor is a little bit oversized compared to the rest of the camera. The other camera is 13MP for portraits, 8MP for the telephoto camera, and another 8MP for ultra-wide angle. Video output can deliver a 4K quality with the option of lowering it to 1080p without compromising the 30fps video output. The front camera is 32MP with default app setting options such as beauty effect, depth mode, portrait, and low-light. We’re still waiting for the sample to come to test the full functionality; we will update you on our following review.
Our Verdict?
The new built-in gimbal stabilization feature is a significant advantage in mobile video and photography. We hope the introductory price is lower than the first smartphone with this feature, but hey, it’s a good phone. Please go check it out!
